SLEEP for kids zzzzzzzzzzzzzz... 

 

 

When we are in dream land our body is growing and giving us energy.  We need sleep to keep us healthy, happy and  doing are best.  Without enough sleep you might forget some of the stuff that you did that day but if you do get enough sleep you will remember all the stuff that you need to.

 

 

 

Your body needs sleep so that your muscles can grow and other parts can fix injuries so that your body can stay healthy and fight sickness.  Kids between ages 5 and 12 should get about 11 or 12 hours of sleep each night.

 

 

You need sleep because all day you're running around and learning new things at school. So at night your brain and your body get to rest so you are ready to go and ready for a new day.  Your body also lets you grow when you're asleep.

 

The brain in your body needs sleep so you can remember what you haved learned and also so you can share your new ideas with others.
